Overview of our Robotic Military 8×8
Our Mudd-Ox XL has always been a strong performer for industrial use. With a four cylinder engine mated to a hydrostatic driveline, the 8×8 delivers strong yet agile capabilities. Matched with a specialized chassis and hull design, XL is a poster child for the benefits continuous development and technology.
This platform has roots back to 2005 with the first prototype Mudd-Ox. We spent three years designing the original production unit, finalizing our first hydraulic and chassis systems. As time continued on with new developments in engines, hydraulics and computers, we also progressed with the Mudd-Ox. Today the civilian XL stands tall with a range of available specifications, such as traditional steering levers or drive-by-wire steering wheel controls.
Partnership
Mudd-Ox has become a vehicle unlike any others in its class. Alongside HIPPO, the Mudd-Ox chassis has proved to be extremely versatile in adapting robotic technology. Successful Mudd-Ox/HIPPO units have been built with manned, semi-manned, and unmanned autonomous capabilities. Each model has been designed to adapt to worldwide military needs – whether it be a stealth equipment transporter or fully robotic scouting vehicle. Our lightweight yet industrial construction provides an edge over competitors including ground footprint, load capacity, and agility.
ATSV
The ATSV (All-Terrain Support Vehicle) is a lightweight, low cost vehicle with high strategic, operational, and tactical mobility. It excels in: Payload, Mobility, Exportable Power, and Optional Robotics. ATSV has been developed through rigorous testing by numerous military branches and customized to suit specific demands.
ATSV is a steel soldier for improving longevity and health of platoon members. No longer do individuals need to carry their heavy equipment via backpack. ATSV can carry 750 kg (1653 lbs.) of cargo with the addition of a driver and passenger. It allows a dismounted rifle platoon to operate unburdened for up to 72 hours. Attaching our amphibious trailer provides an additional 1,500 kg (3307 lbs.) of cargo capacity.
In the News
The HIPPO-X and ATSV have gained worldwide attention. The Telegraph, Janes, Think Defense, Army Recognition, Battle-Updates, The Sun, Public News Update and more have featured these state-of-the-art amphibious vehicles. As with most military programs, information is classified – but we enjoy sharing with you what we can.
