Croco was an articulating 4×4 designed by Walter Strahm. It was built in Karslruhe, Germany however sold under TAG Group (Holdings) S.A. (Techniques d’Avant-Gerde Group of Switzerland. TAG has rich history in airplane distribution and racing sponsorship.
Production began in approximately 1977 with a single rotor wankel engine. Eventually, the wankel was replaced with a Renault 5 engine. TAG’s hopes were to secure a military contract as the Croco could be transported by helicopter into remote areas. Unfortunately, the design failed to meet requirements and production ceased in 1983.
