The Busse was an aluminum 6×6 designed by two brothers of Busse SJI Corp, a subsidiary of Arrowhead Systems, Inc. in Randolf, Wisconsin. Very few vehicles were ever produced and believed to be made in 1971. Busse made its way overseas for military testing, but a contract never came to fruition.
In the 1980’s, a non-operational survivor was sold by Wisconsin DNR. When the purchasers contacted the company to inquire about technical information, one of the brothers was amazed a Busse still existed. He immediately purchased it back.
