Bashing Snow Piles in the Mudd-Ox
Our factory is located in northern Indiana. As much as we love to drive Mudd-Ox’s through the snow, we haven’t had much opportunity this winter season. The first major snowfall happened in February – and we took advantage of the video opportunity.
One of the most amazing demonstrations in the video shows just how well the amphibious trailer follows the 8×8. Notice how the trailer tires are completely above the XL’s body seam. Our swiveling hitch design allows for extreme articulation. Combining this with a long solid steer bar, the amphibious trailer is easy to maneuver through trails both forwards and backwards.
The 2021 XL with 57 HP Kubota engine continues to impress us. With digital engine monitoring, more power, and better cooling than our previous XL with the 45 HP Kubota, we wish this technology was available decades ago.
This specific Mudd-Ox went to a local family. For the first outing, they transported the Mudd-Ox hundreds of miles away to go ice fishing on Lake Erie. It’s main duty will be traveling around their massive property with woods, swamp, water, and logs.
We hope to visit the family in warmer weather (unlike the photo below, taken on the record coldest night of the season) and capture more video of their Mudd-Ox in action.
